F. Jean Duffy, 77, of Chillicothe, died suddenly, 11:00 am, Saturday, November 28, 2009 at her residence. She was born January 4, 1932 in Jackson County, the daughter of Harry and Frances Dow Thompson. August 11, 1962 she married Neil H. Duffy who preceded her in death August 30, 1981. Surviving are three granddaughters, Michelle (Kelley) Kerns, , Jennie Hempfling, both of St Joseph, MI, and Stephanie (Marvin)Eakins, Grove City; 5 great grandchildren Zachary, Kasen, and Brennen Kerns, St. Joseph, MI, and Jessica and Kimmy Eakins, Grove City; 2 sisters, Patty Lemon, Jackson, and Emma Zirckle, Columbus, one brother Harry (Cleo) Thompson, Ironton, a Special Friend Mary Westlake; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. One daughter Sharon Ann Lemaster-Cannon, 4 sisters infant Mary Thompson, Della Scurlock, Helen Malone, and Dorothy Robinson and one brother John Thompson preceded her in death. Mrs. Duffy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister, dedicated Ohio State Buckeyes Fan. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Wednesday, December 2, 2009 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM, Tuesday.
