Janet L. Jenkins, 68, of Londonderry, passed from this life on Wednesday afternoon, August 10, 2016 in Riverside Hospital, Columbus following an extended illness. She was born August 22, 1947 in Chillicothe, the daughter of Clarence A., Sr. and Marilyn Sue (Toohey) Jenkins.
Surviving are sisters, Rebecca S. Jenkins, Londonderry, Diana (Dana) Thornton, South Salem, Judy (Terry) Althouse and Frances Detty, all of Chillicothe; brothers, Ronald (Rose) Jenkins and Clarence Allen (Karen) Jenkins, all of Chillicothe; aunt, Nancy Toohey, Chillicothe; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, including her “buddies”, niece, Bella and nephew, Grayson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father, James Hafner, her sister, Carol Louise Jenkins and many nieces and nephews.
Janet was a 1967 graduate of Southeastern High School. She was a 40 year employee of the Sumburger Restaurant and was a member of the Ladies of the Moose and the Ladies of the Eagles.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, August 15, 2016 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Ronald B. Jenkins, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Crouse Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Monday.
