Jane C. Doughty, 60 of Chillicothe, went to be with her Lord and Savior, 12:45 PM, Friday, September 5, 2008 in the OSU Hospitals following an extended illness. A memorial service of celebration of Jane's Life will be held 7:00 PM, Tuesday, September 9, 2008 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass & Palmer Funeral Home with Rev. John Cooper officiating. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. The Family will receive friends from 5:00 until the hour of service Tuesday. Jane was born August 23, 1948 in Alpena, MI to the late Lloyd and Mary McEwen. On March 15, 1969 she married Ed Doughty who survives. Also surviving are sons Don (Michele) Doughty, Mansfield, Ron (Allison) Doughty and Johnny (Mikki) Doughty, both of Chillicothe; her precious grandchildren who gave her great pleasure, Kailey, Mason, and Drew Doughty of Chillicothe; sisters and brothers-in-law, Janet (Sergo) Duchatellier, Gainesville,FL, Nancy Hernderson, Nashville, TN and Cindy McEwen, Alpena, MI, and several nieces and nephews. Her parents and one brother, Jerry McEwen preceded her in death. She is also survived by her husband's family, Father-in-law, Lester W. Doughty, Chillicothe, Pat and Fuzz Mattox, Vicki (Gregg) Westfall, Peg & Dean Good, Ruth (Brad) Doughty, all of Chillicothe, Paulette & John Story, Syracuse, NY, Bill and Chris Doughty, Frankfort, Lester & Pam Doughty and Paul & Kelly Doughty of Chillicothe. Jane was retired from the Adena Regional Medical Center, working in the business office as a billing specialist, for 29 years and was inducted into the Quarter Century Club. She attended Brookside Church, where she was in the Card Ministry. She loved the Lord, her family, and special friends Cheryl, Glenda, Barb, Fay and many of her co-workers. She enjoyed her computer games, playing Euchre and Spades and being with family & friends. Jane's favorite motto: "Strive to do the best you can and leave the rest in God's Hands".
