James Bryan “Hop” Hopper, 56, of Chillicothe entered Heaven’s gate on Thursday, March 12, 2015 surrounded by his loving sisters after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born August 30, 1958 in Chillicothe, the son of John W. Hopper, Sr. and Naomi Ruth Bryan Hopper.
Surviving are his sisters, Pam (Tom) Smith, Becky Anderson and Ruth (Wes) Crowe, all of Chillicothe; special nieces and nephews, John W. Hopper, III, Tara Krider, Angie Smith, Kim Lawhorn, Alisha Gray, Nate Anderson, Brian Phillips and Brad Phillips and many cousins. His parents and his best friend and brother, John W. Hopper, Jr. preceded him in death.
Jim was a 1977 graduate of Chillicothe High School and was an employee of Clear Creek Construction. He attended the First Wesleyan Church. A 1st degree Bando Blackbelt, he loved hunting, fishing and target shooting.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, March 16, 2015 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Fred Fox officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday.
