James L. Boblett, Jr.

James (“JB”) Boblett, Jr., 66 of Canal Winchester passed away from this life on Friday, February 12, 2021.  He was born on November 4, 1954 in Chillicothe, Ohio to James L. Sr. and Rita M. (Gaus) Boblett whom both preceded him in death.  He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Kenneth J. Robinett; and a brother- in- law, Bernard Hirsch.

JB is survived by his daughters, Madison A. Boblett of Chicago, Illinois and Miranda E. Boblett of Columbus, Ohio; his sisters, Judith Davis of Chillicothe, Ohio and Rebecca Hirsch of Dayton, Ohio; two nephews and their families; and many friends.

JB was a graduate of Ohio University and held several degrees in nursing (LPN, RN, BSN) and spent over 40 years doing what he loved, working as a nurse as he had a passion for helping others, especially as a psychiatric nurse.  He was a fourth degree knight in the Knights of Columbus.

JB was an avid sports fan and loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and he also loved playing golf with his friends in his free time.  The “Lake House” was his favorite place to go on the weekends to spend time with his family and water ski in his younger years, a skill he proudly passed on to his daughters.  James will be greatly missed by his friends and family who love him dearly.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 3:00 p.m., Friday March 19, 2021 in St. Peter's Catholic Church, with Fr. Brian Beal, officiating.  Due to Lent, please no flowers.  Burial will be held in St. Margaret Cemetery at the discretion of the family.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please make a donation to the American Heart Association (www.heart.org) in memory of James (JB) L.
