Irene C. Rosebeck

Irene C.(Cottrill) McCoy Rosebeck, 86, of Amherst, OH formerly of Chillicothe, passed from this life Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007 in the New Life Hospice Center, Lorain, OH following an extended illness. She was born Aug. 20, 1921 in Pike County. On May 28, 1940 she married Leonard McCoy who preceded her in death Apr. 19, 1986. She later married Larry A. Rosebeck and resided in Amherst OH until her death. Surviving is her husband, a daughter and son-in-law, Jeannette L. and Herman "Luke" McCoy, Chillicothe, a daughter, Jacqueline L. Kuk, Washington C.H., a son and daughter-in-law, John L. and Sherry McCoy, Hillsboro, step-daughters, Shanna Cyran, Amherst, OH and Vicki Polites, CA, step-sons, Larry Rosebeck and Philip Rosebeck, both of Amherst, OH, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and several step- grandchildren and step-great grandchildren. Her parents, a step-son, a grandson, Shaun Zickafoos and 5 sisters and brothers preceded her in death. Mrs. Rosebeck had been a nursing assistant and a department store employee. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed sewing. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Rev. John Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday.
