Imogene H. Hilbrecht

Imogene H. Hilbrecht, 85, of Chillicothe, passed from this life Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009 in the OSU Medical Center, Columbus following a brief illness. She was born Oct. 21, 1924 in Columbus, the daughter of James and Effie M. (Emrick) Hollis. On May 19, 1946 she married Charles E. Hilbrecht, Jr. who preceded her in death Dec. 1, 1993. Surviving is a niece, Patricia (Phillip) Croker, Canal Winchester, nephews, George Hollis and Charles Hollis, both of Canal Winchester, James E. (Emelinda) Hollis and Loren (Terry) Hollis, all of Chillicothe, several great nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law, Marjory Hollis, Canal Winchester and Laverne Hollis, Chillicothe and special friends May Caplinger, Garnet Taylor and Anna Stout, all of Chillicothe. Her parents and brothers, Jack, George and James, Jr. Hollis preceded her in death. Mrs. Hilbrecht was a deputy auditor with the Ross County Auditor's Office, retiring in 1977. She was a member of the Ross County Republican Club and was an avid bowler. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until the hour of service on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
