Ida Mae Harper, 92, of Chillicothe, passed from this life on Thursday evening, August 29, 2013 in the Chillicothe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born May 14, 1921 in Ross County, the daughter of Fred and Marjorie (Stover) Kennison. On October 8, 1939 she married Earl F. Harper who preceded her in death on May 13, 1988.
Surviving is her daughter, Joy Lee (David) Wolfe, Canal Winchester; her son, Ronnie F. (Lynn) Harper, Trinity, TX; grandchildren, Michael (Angie) Harper, Cheri (Shane) Lewis, Jeffery (Michelle) Harper and Phillip Wolfe; great-grandchildren, Grant Wolfe, Sierra Wolfe, McKenzie Wolfe, Tiffany Clary, Michael Harper II, Melissa Harper, Tim Lewis and Kory Don Lewis; great-great-grandchildren, Hailee Lewis and Braylon Netter; a sister, Maxine Haskins; a brother, Denver Kennison and a brother-in-law, Robert Seymour, all of Chillicothe. Her parents, a grandson, Jacob Wolfe; sisters, Anne (Carl) Garrison, Pat Seymour, Ruth (John) Lemaster and Lorraine Arledge; a brother, Fred (Rita) Kennison; a sister-in-law, Miriam Kennison and a brother-in-law, Charles Haskins preceded her in death.
Mrs. Harper was a member of the Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ in Christian Union. She was an avid bowler in numerous leagues for many years.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, September 4, 2013 in the Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ in Christian Union with Pastor Mark Clendaniel officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jefferson Avenue CCCU Building Fund or to the Ronald McDonald House.
