Howard N. “Fuzz” Houser, 88, of Chillicothe, passed from this life on Thursday afternoon, May 9, 2024 at his residence with his family by his side, following an extended illness. He was born April 23, 1936 in Frankfort, OH, the son of Dorsey and Mary (Wisecup) Houser. On September 7, 1956 he married Louretta Riley, who survives.
Also surviving are daughters, Mendy Houser, Chillicothe and Cindy (Marty) Unrue, Ashville; a son, Jeff (Stacee) Houser, Waverly; grandchildren, Stephanie, Riley and Reeanna (Dustin); and sisters, Barb Stuckey, New Holland and Kay Coffee, Grove City. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Terry Houser, a sister and 5 brothers.
Fuzz was the owner and operator of Fuzz Houser and Sons Auto and Truck Repair for 47 years, retiring in 2016. He was also active in Houser Racing for 36 years. A big Ohio State fan, he enjoyed college basketball and NASCAR.
He attended the First Church of God where a Service of Remembrance will be held on Sunday, May 12, 2024 at 4:00 pm with Rev. Ben Liston officiating. Calling hours will not be observed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of God Building Fund, 780 E. Water St., Chillicothe, OH 45601 or to Adena Hospice.
