Herbert A. of Keller age 85 of Chillicothe, Oh went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 17, 2015 following an extended illness. He was born in Chillicothe on July 27, 1929 to Harry and Katherine Keller who preceded him death. He is survived by his loving spouse of 33 years JoAnn Keller (Boggs) of Chillicothe. Also surviving are a step-daughter Cristy (Frank) Renner, step- sons Robert Boggs, and Jonathon Boggs, as well as granddaughters Erin (Brion) Peoples, Madison Reedy, and grandson Morgan Boggs. He is also survived by four great grandchildren, Brion M Peoples II, Braden Peoples, Aiden Peoples, and Joseph Dixon Jr.
Herbert was a First Lieutenant in the United States Marines Corps; he was a Korean War veteran and a graduate of Economics at NYU. He was outspoken, tenacious, feisty and well loved by family and friends. He cheered ferociously for his beloved Browns, and rumor has it they are changing the uniforms just for him. He loved history, military, politics, and taught many a kindergartner the correct way to color.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, April 23, 2015 in Soldiers Square in Greenlawn Cemetery with Military Honors by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. A Memorial Celebration will follow at the Community of Christ Church at 539 W 5th St., behind OUC. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation, 895 Central Ave., Suite 550, Cincinnati, OH 45202.
