Helen M. Loschert, 95, of Chillicothe passed from this life on Friday evening, April 29, 2016 in Traditions of Chillicothe following an extended illness.  She was born May 15, 1920 to the late Phillip and Myrtle (Hatfield) Hartmus.  On December 7, 1940 she married Howard J. Loschert who preceded her in death on December 17, 2011.

Surviving are her daughters, Margaret Ann and husband, Louis D’Argenio, Reisterstown, MD and Carol J. Loschert, Chillicothe; a son, Howard R. and wife, Jacquie Loschert, Georgetown, KY;  8 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; sisters, Joan Cox, Waverly and Karen (Alois) Keilers, Houston, TX; a brother, Ronald “Steve” Hartmus, Chillicothe; sisters-in-law, Virginia Hartmus, Frankfort, Connie Hartmus, Chillicothe and Wanda Loschert, Sahuarita, AZ and a host of nieces, nephews and many special and life-long friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Roger and wife, Sally Loschert; a great-grandson, Harley Michael Beebe; brothers, John and Edgar Hartmus; sisters and brothers-in-law, Eva (Dwight) Consolver, Phyllis (George) Rapp and Virginia (Charles) Bushong; sisters-in-law, Peggy Hartmus and brother-in-law, Forrest “Junior” Cox.

Helen was a member of the Ross County Extension Homemakers, The Sewing Club, The Bridge Club and enjoyed making beautiful ceramics.  For many years she and her husband enjoyed traveling the United States and spending winters in Naples, FL.  Most evening you could find her playing cards with special friends and family.

Her family would like to thank Helen’s home caregivers, Tonya, Kathy and Stephanie and the excellent care by the staff of Traditions of Chillicothe.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, May 9, 2016 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Kurt King.  Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Monday.
