Harold E. Rairdon

Harold E. Rairdon, 84, of Chillicothe, passed from this life Friday evening, June 20, 2008 in Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. He was born May 10, 1924 in Shelby County, OH, the son of Samuel E. and Mary Rairdon. In 1961 he married Shirley A. Miller who survives. Also surviving is a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Ronald Fontaine, Columbus, OH, sons and daughters-in-law, Jon G. and Tonia Rairdon, Londonderry, OH, Gary L. and Stacey Rairdon, Columbus, OH and Jeffery A. and Trena Rairdon, Anchorage, AK, 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a sister, Grace Rairdon, FL. His parents, a sister and a brother preceded him in death. Mr. Rairdon was an employee of Kenworth, retiring in 1989. A U.S. Navy veteran he served in WW II. He was a member of Brookside Church of Christ in Christian Union and the Kenworth Retiree's Club. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, June 24, 2008 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Rev. David Dean officiating. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery with military honors by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday.
