Grayce J. Quincel

Grayce J. Quincel, 96, of Chillicothe, passed from this life early Monday morning, Nov. 26, 2010 in the Chillicothe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a brief illness. She was born Sept. 30, 1914 in Pike County, KY, the daughter of Frank and Sarah (Ratliff) Wallace. In 1952 she married Ansel "Gene" Quincel who preceded her in death in 1997. Surviving is her son, Christopher E. Quincel of Chillicothe, a sister, Fern Gillenwater of Castlewood, VA and a host of nieces and nephews. Her parents, a brother, Beldon Wallace and half brothers, James and Hubert Bentley preceded her in death. Mrs. Quincel was a graduate of Pikeville College in Kentucky A retired beautician, she managed the J.C. Penney salon and also operated her own salon for many years. She was a member of Walnut Street United Methodist Church and the Deborah Circle. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, Dec. 3, 2010 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Joseph Payne officiating. Interment will be at the discretion of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until the hour of service on Friday.
