Grace Louise (Edmonds) Sharp

December 12, 1920 — July 17, 2015

Grace Louise “Edmonds” Sharp, 94, of Chillicothe, passed peacefully 5:55 am, Friday July 17, 2015, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law.
She was born December 12, 1920, in Huntington, WV, the third of five daughters born to Owen and Elizabeth Curry Edmonds.  September 27, 1936 she married the love of her life, Ivan W. Sharp. They moved to the Chillicothe area in the 1950’s to raise their three children, Charles, Sylvia, and Michael.  In 1958 they moved to their Schrader Addition Home. This is where Grace could be seen by many passers-by and neighbors over the years sitting on her swing surrounded by different family members and friends.  She was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. After raising her family, Grace worked and retired from Bob Evans. She loved to cook a good meal and everyone enjoyed eating it. One of Grace’s favorite past time was sewing; most of all making quilts and giving them to family and friends with love in every stitch.
She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her daughter; Sylvia (Howard) Holloway, her son; Michael ( Janet) Sharp and sister, Easter Evans, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Helena (Tom) Winegar, Craig Sharp, Joe Sharp, Jane (Gary) Demint, Brett (Sandy) Sharp, Jamie (Chris) Sharp, Darin Sharp, Lisa (Gram) Dun, Kyle Sharp, Brian Ward, Debra “Miller” (Tony) Slutz, Beth Ann (Bobby) Riddle, and Brian (Desiree) Sharp; great grandchildren, Danielle Strohm, Tyler Noller, Hannah Parker, Josh Sharp, Jordan Sharp, Danielle Byers, Dillon Carroll and Dalton Slutz, and several Great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents preceding her in death are her husband Ivan, in 1983; son Charles in 1978, infant daughter Holly Ann, in 1940, and sisters Lydia Mayse, Betty Gill, and Juanita Young, grandson Charlie Sharp and great grandson Benjamin J. Shiltz.
“We have lost an amazing soul with a kind and loving heart”
