Grace Maude Eblin, 95, of Chillicothe passed from this life early Monday morning, July 15, 2013 at Chillicothe Nursing and Rehab, following an extended illness.  She was born Sept. 7, 1917, in Ross County to the late Sherman and Jessie (Shafer) Malone.  On Dec. 3, 1934, she was united in marriage to Marshall Eblin, who preceded her in death on Mar. 22, 1979.  From this union 9 children were born, 5 boys and 4 girls.

Surviving are sons and daughters; Marshall Bill (Connie) Eblin, Chillicothe, Mellie Robert (Diane) Eblin, Chillicothe, Mary Jane (Buddy) Wilhelm, Xenia, OH, and Yvonne Marie Eblin, Chillicothe, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, a half sister; Marjorie Ann (Neal) Elliott, Zephyrhills, FL, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  She is preceded in death by 2 daughters; Mildred Lucille Murphy and Marilyn Anne (Peach) Doyle Park, 3 sons; Martin Sherman (Bud) Eblin, Marvin James (Jimmy) Eblin, and Milford Eugene (Butch) Eblin, two grandsons; John Michael Eblin and Robert "Buddy" Eblin Jr., a granddaughter; Cynthia Gumm, great grandsons; Jimmie, Jerry, and Mark Cottrill, and Cole Eblin, 2 sisters; Mildred Ruth Storts, and Violet Lucille Groves, and one brother; Harold Robert Malone.

Grace was a member of Hilltop Mission Church and attended services regularly, until her health declined.  She was a member of the VFW #108 Ladies Auxiliary and a special deputy for the Ross County Sheriff’s Office.  She was loved by many who called her Me Maw, Granny, Grandma Grace, and “Mom”.  She loved her faithful hearing aid, her Chihuahua, Chi Chi.

A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2013, in Greenlawn Cemetery.  In keeping with Grace’s wishes, calling hours will not be observed.  The FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME is serving the family. The family would like to express a sincere thank-you to Chillicothe Nursing and Rehabilitation and the National Church Residence Hospice for there wonderful care of Grace.
