Glenn E. Detty, 68, of Chillicothe, passed suddenly from this life 5:02 PM, Wednesday, May 30, 2012 in the Adena Regional Medical Center.
He was born December 9, 1943, in Ross County, the son of Floyd and Mary Dunkle Detty. June 18, 1966 he married the former Dreama Tackett who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Glenna (Jimmy) Good, son Randall (Christina) Detty all of Chillicothe, 4 grandchildren, Brandy Sims, Tyler Sims, Hunter Detty, and Emmalee Good, one great grandson Trevor Sims, 4 sisters Marvene (Jim) Harkless, Chillicothe, Ine (Frank) Lytle, Frankfort, Modge (Bill) Williams, Chillicothe and Fran Perry, Chillicothe, and two brothers Larry (Becky) Detty, Chillicothe and Berman (Sue) Detty, Frankfort. His mother and father, two sisters, Shirley Detty and Charlotte Adams and two brothers Harry and Milton, preceded him in death.
Mr. Detty had worked for the Reynolds Metal Company in the Shipping and Receiving Department. He loved his family, golf, and the outdoors.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Monday, June 4, 2012 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Pastor Willis Tackett officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens with military honors by the Ross Co. Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 PM on Sunday.
