Glenn E. Callam, 80, of Columbus, formerly of Chillicothe, passed from this life early Thursday morning, December 13, 2012 in the Villages of Westerville following an extended illness. He was born March 9, 1932 in Chillicothe, the son of the late William Callam and Clara M. Ely. On May 22, 1953 in married Helen M. Shaw who preceded him in death in 2001.
Surviving are his daughters, Glenda L. (Glenn) Gibson, Grove City and Cherie D. Callam, Columbus; grandchildren, Mike Gibson and Eric Hammond; great grandchildren, Zachary Gibson, McKenzie Gibson, Aiden Phillips and Amelia Maya Hammond.
Mr. Callam was a manager for the W.H. Kiefaber Company with 39 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War and had been a member of the West Side Nazarene Church.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, December 15, 2012 in Floral Hills Memory Gardens with his grandson, Zachary Gibson officiating. Military rites will be rendered by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. Calling hours will not be observed. The FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME is serving the family.
