Geraldine Wright, 76, of Chillicothe, passed from this life Thursday, January 3, 2013 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born September 13, 1936 in Williamsport, the daughter of William W. and Bertha M. (Brewer) Wright.
Surviving is her daughter, Carol R. Hodge Whiting; grandsons, Charles J. Hodge and William C. Hodge, all of Chillicothe; sisters, Betty L. Barnhart, Chillicothe and JoAnn Mineer, Circleville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, step-mothers, Dorothy and Irma Wright, step-fathers, Harry E. Robinson and Forrest Magill, sister, Virginia L. Barnes and husband, brothers, Walter Wright and Bruce E. Robinson, brothers-in-law, Howard Barnhart and Dale Mineer and a sister-in-law, Violet Wright.
Geraldine was a 1954 graduate of Chillicothe High School and was employed by Kresge Department Store, US Shoe Corporation, Colamco in Columbus Ohio, Pickaway Manor and the Brown Memorial Home. She retired in 2000.
A gathering of family and friends will be at 5:00 pm on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at her home. Calling hours will not be observed. The FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME is serving the family.
