Geneva M. Claytor

Geneva M. Claytor, 93, of Chillicothe, passed from this life on Wednesday morning, Oct. 6, 2010 in Pike Community Hospital, Waverly following an extended illness. She was born July 20, 1917 in Piketon, OH, the daughter of Arthur and Blanche Susie (Thompson) Pfeifer. On Oct. 23, 1937 she married Ellis D. Claytor who preceded her in death Jan. 12, 1960. Surviving is a sister, Margaret Allen, Piketon, nieces, Penny Williams, FL, Bonnie Fyffe and Rosalie Hafner, both of Chillicothe, a nephew, John and wife, Linda Claytor, Chillicothe and Wayne Pfeifer, Piketon and sisters-in-law, June Pfeifer, Waverly and Ruth Pfeifer, Piketon. Her parents, a daughter, Judy Claytor and 3 brothers preceded her in death. Mrs. Claytor was an employee of The Union and Macks Department Stores for more than 20 years. She was a long-time member of Trinity United Methodist Church and had been active in the church prior to her illness. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 Friday, Oct. 8, 2010 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Kurt King officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Waverly. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Friday.
