Gary R. Tatman

GARY R. TATMAN Gary Ray Tatman, 58, of Circleville, passed from this life Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 23, 2007 in Mt. Carmel Medical Center, Columbus follow a brief illness. He was born Apr. 14, 1948 in Columbus, one of triplet sons, to Turney T. and Viola M. (Seymour) Tatman . On May 23, 1972 he married Donna L. Simmons who survives. Also surviving is his "special father", Howard "Pop" Dennis, Chillicothe, mother-in-law, Martha Simmons, Columbus, brothers, Wayne (Carmen) Tatman, London and Roger Tatman, Chillicothe, several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, his extended family, Terry Dennis and Sandy Dennis Sexton, both of Chillicothe and his faithful canine companions, Sissy and Pebbles. His parents, "special mother", Wanda Dennis, son, Shawn A. Tatman, brothers, Eugene, Eldon and Phillip Tatman, nephew, Shane Tatman and father-in-law, Charles Simmons preceded him in death. Mr. Tatman was an employee of Crane Plastics for 32 years, retiring in 2005. He was a U S Army veteran, serving in Viet Nam. He was a member of VFW Post 3331. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Rev. Melvin Simpson officiating. Following cremation, committal services will be held at the discretion of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 pm until the hour of service on Saturday.
