Garnet W. Lagard

Garnet W. LaGard, 80, of Chillicothe, passed from this life early Tuesday morning, May 1, 2007 in Traditions of Chillicothe following an extended illness. She was born Oct. 14, 1926 in Leo, OH, the daughter of Simeon and Elizabeth (McCormick) Brown. On Dec. 16, 1949 she married Leonard R. LaGard, who preceded her in death Apr. 1, 1993. Surviving is a son and daughter-in-law, Rex and DeDe LaGard, a grandson, Benjamin R. LeGard, all of Chillicothe, a sister, Mary Ekers, Grove City, sisters-in-law, Jessie Brown and Dorothy Brown and special friends, Phyllis Hess and Virginia Sampson, all of Chillicothe. Her parents, a granddaughter, Jenna, 3 sisters and 4 brothers preceded her in death. Mrs. LaGard was a homemaker and had attended the First Nazarene Church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, May 4, 2007 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Anne Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 m on Thursday.
