Gale Woods

Gale Woods, 87, of Chillicothe, unexpectedly passed from this life early Monday morning, Apr. 27, 2009 at his residence. He was born July 17, 1921 in Chillicothe, the son of George and Ann Woods. On Sept. 20, 1975 he married Helen (Drake) Dearth who preceded him in 1995. Surviving is a step-daughter, Mary Ann (Jack) Martin, Chillicothe, step-sons, James (Jan) Dearth, David (Sandi) Dearth, all of Scurry, TX, Charles Dearth, Chillicothe and Carl (Cindi) Dearth, Frankfort, 9 step-grandchildren, 14 step-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. His parents, 3 sisters and 4 brothers preceded him in death. Mr. Woods was a retired employee of Duffy Electric. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, May 2, 2009 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday.
