Gail J. Stewart

Gail J. Stewart, 82, of Chillicothe, passed from this life early Tuesday morning, July 20, 2010 in Adena Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born Oct. 14, 1927 in Chillicothe, the daughter of the late Pearl F. and Mildred Arta (Crothers) Park. On Jan. 31, 1948 she married Robert J. "Buddy" Stewart who survives. Also surviving is her son, Robert J. Stewart, Jr., Chillicothe, grandchildren, Tammy Jo (Kevin) Free, Nashville, TN, Pamela (Brett) Hurles and Angie Stewart, both of Chillicothe, the mother of her granddaughters, Kay E. Stewart, Chillicothe, great-grandchildren, Kaylyn Jo Hurles and Tyler Stewart Free, sisters, Opal (Harry) Smith, Chillicothe and Joan (Gary) Foll, Kissimmee, FL, a brother, Neal (Bea) Park, Waverly and several nieces and nephews. Her parents, a sister, Naoma Park and a brother and sister-in-law, Eldon and Katie Park preceded her in death. Mrs. Stewart was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Chillicothe. She was an avid bowler and was active in her league for more than 35 years. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, July 24, 2010 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. William Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday.
