Freda Pauline Martindale, 96, of Chillicothe, passed from this life on Saturday, June 6, 2015 in Adena Regional Medical Center. She was born June 3, 1919 in Washington Court House, Ohio, the daughter of Wilbur and Alma (Hooker) Thornton. On July 17, 1949 she married Willard W. Martindale who preceded her in death on February 7, 1979.
Surviving are her daughters, Cindy (James) Paugh and Cheri Martindale, all of Chillicothe; 2 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Her parents, a step-son, Marvin Martindale, 2 grandchildren and several sisters and brothers preceded her in death.
Mrs. Martindale was a retired employee of U.S. Shoe Corporation.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 11, 2015 in Greenlawn Cemetery with Rev. Richard Schriber officiating. Calling hours will not be observed. The FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME is honored to be serving the family.
