Fred E. Benson, 55, of Chillicothe, died 12:18 PM, Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born July 5, 1954, in Chillicothe, the son of Roy E. and Susie M. Leach Benson. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am, Monday, September 21, 2009 in the Fawcett Palmer Funeral Home, with Rev. Chuck Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 PM Sunday. Surviving are his mother, Susie Benson, Chillicothe, two sons Freddy (Tammi) Benson, Richmond Dale and Brady ( Jennifer) Benson, Laurelville; seven grandchildren; three sisters Sue (Chuck) Dalton, FL, Pam (Pete) Roseboom, GA, and Linda Benson, Chillicothe, one brother Tim (Mel) Benson, Chillicothe, and several nieces and nephews. His father preceded him in death. Mr. Benson was a driver for Union Distributing, retiring in 1996. He was a former member of the Ross County Charity Society (RCCS).
