Francis Lucille Steed, 89, of Chillicothe, passed from this life 11:28 PM, Tues. Jan. 17, 2012, in Adena Regional Medical Center, following a short illness. She was born July 15, 1922, in Ravenswood, WV, to the late Clyde and Freda Hendershot Bosworth. On May 20, 1951, she married Albert H. Steed, who preceded her in death on Aug. 2, 1984. Surviving are a daughter; Mrs. William Elizabeth "Betsy" Marsh, Chillicothe, a son and daughter-in-law; David L. and Cathy Steed, Chillicothe, grandchildren; Phillip A. (Karen) Marsh, Kingston, and William M. Marsh II, Chillicothe, and a great granddaughter; McKenzie Dennis. She was preceded in death by 1 sister, and 3 brothers. Mrs. Steed worked as a clerk for Fisher's Dairy. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Fri. Jan. 20, 2012 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Kurt King officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until the hour of service on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
