Frances M. Gillenwater

Frances M. Gillenwater, 87, of Chillicothe, passed from this life early Sunday morning, Apr. 11, 2010 in Chillicothe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a 2 month illness. She was born Feb. 16, 1923 in Pickaway County, the daughter of Clarence Haynes and Goldie Mae Haynes. On May 8, 1957 she married Virgil Gillenwater who preceded her in death June 6, 1976. Surviving is a niece, Mary Ann (Jack) Martin, Chillicothe, nephews, James Dearth, TX, Charles Dearth, Chillicothe, David (Sandy) Dearth, TX and Carl (Cindi) Dearth, Frankfort, many great nieces and nephews and a special friend, Daniel Blevins, Chillicothe. Her parents and a sister, Helen Dearth Woods preceded her in death. Mrs. Gillenwater was a homemaker and had attended Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ in Christian Union. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Thursday, Apr. 15, 2010 in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with Rev. Mark Clendaniel officiating. The family will receive friends at the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Thursday, prior to services.
