Florence M. Bowman, 90, of Chillicothe, unexpectedly passed from this life on Monday, Dec. 22, 2008 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, Dec. 29, 2008 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Schmidt officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until the hour of service on Monday. She was born Mar. 7, 1918 in Hallsville, the daughter of Albert I and Bertha H. (Jones) Diehl. Her husbands, Hubert Goshorn and Paul Bowman preceded her in death. Surviving is a daughter, Barbara Pocock, sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Sue Goshorn and Richard and Carol Goshorn, all of Chillicothe, grandchildren, Jerry (Michele) Goshorn, Jefre Goshorn, Tiffany (Brandon) Newman, Deborah Bubar, Michele (Lee Stephens) Pocock, Rick (Tiffany) Goshorn, Scott Goshorn and Terri (Jim) Dawson and 11 great-grandchildren. Her parents, husbands, a son, Jerry, a son-in-law, James Pocock, a grandchild, Cheryl Clay, a sister, Florella Diehl and brothers, George and Jack Diehl preceded her in death. Mrs. Bowman was an employee of Mead Paper with 40 years of service, retiring in 1982 and was a member of the Mead Retiree's Club. She enjoyed bowling, gardening and cooking and was known to all as an Ohio State fan. Her love of the Myrtle Beach area, where she enjoyed vacationing was well known. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.
