Evelyn M. Harmon

Evelyn M. Harmon, 93, formerly of Hopeton Village, Chillicothe, passed from this life Tuesday morning, June 8, 2010 in Westmoreland Place following an extended illness. She was born Mar. 4, 1917 in Sullivan, IN, the daughter of William and Bonnie (Nesmith) Cooley. Surviving is her daughter and son-in-law, Marjorie and Rod White, Chillicothe, 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild and a brother and sister-in-law, Max and Mary Lou Cooley, Sullivan, IN. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Eldon Harmon, her parents, a son, Herschel Harmon, 2 sisters and 5 brothers. Mrs. Harmon was a homemaker and had been employed by the Holiday Inn of Chillicothe. Graveside funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Friday, June 11, 2010 in Huntington Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Rick Hartley officiating. The family will receive friends at the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME from 10:30 am to 11:30 am on Friday, prior to the service.
