Euthena B. Carnes

Euthena B. Carnes, 86, of Chillicothe, passed from this life Monday afternoon, Sept. 17, 2007 in Heartland of Chillicothe following a brief illness. She was born May 14, 1921 in Lewis County, KY, the daughter of Russell and Myrtle (Stone) Renchen. On Feb. 15, 1941 she married Everett Carnes who preceded her in death Oct. 4, 1986. Surviving is a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Marlan Long, Chillicothe, grandchildren, Mindy and husband, Bobby Johnson and Michael and wife, Marlana Long, Waverly, great-grandchildren, Dallas Johnson, Austin, Evan and Corbin Long and special relatives, Eunice Hatfield and Marcella Eutsler, both of Chillicothe. Her parents, 2 sisters and 3 brothers preceded her in death. Mrs. Carnes was an employee of U.S. Shoe with 38 years of service, retiring in 1977. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007 in Greenlawn Cemetery. Calling hours will not be observed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brookside Church. The Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home is serving the family.
