Eugene F. Fuchs, O.D.

Dr. Eugene F. Fuchs, O.D., 91, formerly of Chillicothe, passed from this life Friday afternoon, March 31, 2007 in Columbus, IN where he had resided for the past several years. He was born Nov. 26, 1915 in Chillicothe, the son of Louis and Grace (Smith) Fuchs. In 1946 he married Marjorie I. Bohn who preceded him in death in 2004. Surviving are daughters, Vivian Miller, Point Sienna, FL and Janet E. (David) Gray, Columbus, IN, sons, Gerald Fuchs, Dublin, OH and Greg Fuchs, Richwood, OH, a daughter-in-law, Joyce Fuchs, Dublin, OH, grandchildren, Lyndsey Gray, Natalie Hickman and Tawnya Akers and great-grandchildren, Julianna and Landon Hickman and Corbin Akers. His parents and a brother, Richard Fuchs preceded him in death. Dr. Fuchs practiced optometry in London, OH for more than 40 years. He was a long time member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and served as church organist for many years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be observed at 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 4, 2007 in St. Peter's Catholic Church with Fr. William Hahn, celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Margaret's Cemetery. Calling hours will not be observed.
