Ernest "Ernie" R. Bramell

Ernest R. Bramell, 85, of Grove City, formerly of Chillicothe, passed from this life on Wednesday April 1, 2026 in Ashford of Grove City. He was born on November 10, 1940 in Scott Co., KY, the son of Gordon and Alva (House) Bramell. On October 14, 1967, he married Sharon Elliott, who survives.

Also surviving is his daughter Teresa (Wayne) Young, Grove City, brothers-in-law, Charles (Reva) Elliott, and Beryl (Sue) Elliott, nieces and nephew, Denise Upton, Sherry, Johnson, Karen Marsh, and Tony Upton, and other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Sue Bramell.

Ernie was a 1959 graduate of Chillicothe High School, and a veteran of the United States Army National Guard, serving from 1963-1969. He was the owner and operator of Bramell & Son Home Improvements for 50 years, retiring in 2011. Over the years, he owned and managed several rental properties in Ross County. Ernie loved going to car shows, live music, and dancing, and was also an avid fan of the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday April 6, 2026 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Dr. Wayne Young, officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Monday.
