Elmer L. Kozar

Elmer Louis Kozar, 81, formerly of Chillicothe, passed from this life Sunday, Mar. 4, 2007 in Clearwater, FL where he had resided for several years. He was born Mar. 6, 1925 in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of Louis and Julia (Bedek) Kozar. On Sept. 5, 1955 he married Alma Julianne Kosar who preceded him in death May 16, 2000. Surviving are daughters, Barbara K. Letcher, Galloway, OH, Susan B. and husband, Ted Williamson, Safety Harbor, FL and Julie A. and husband Brian Kiggins, Worthington, OH and grandchildren, Beth, Erin and Teddy Williamson and Kathryn and Alex Kiggins. His parents and a sister, Marie preceded him in death. Mr. Kozar was a retired meat cutter for Alber's and Sack and Save in Chillicothe. He was a veteran of the US Navy, serving in WW II. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed dancing and singing. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be observed at 2:00 pm Friday, Mar. 9, 2007 with Fr. Lawrence Hummer officiating. Burial will follow in St. Margaret's Cemetery with military graveside rites by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home from 12:00 pm until 1:30 pm on Friday
