Elizabeth “Anne” Reeves, age 77, of Kettering, Ohio passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 12. She was born February 14, 1935 in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late Robert P. and Hattie Mae (Steinbrook) Fornash. She was preceded in death by her sister Charlotte Vest of Chillicothe. She was retired from the Lazarus Company. Anne is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Richard Reeves; daughter, Julie (Leigh) Reeves; grandchildren, Charles Mamlin and Frances Mamlin; sister, Georgia (John) Hodge of Sun City, AZ; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Of Anne’s many talents she was best known for her cooking and creative handcrafting skills. She took great pleasure in creating wonderful meals for her family, as well as sewing and knitting clothing and gifts for her grandchildren. She was an avid square dancer for nearly 50 years. She enjoyed traveling the country to square dancing conventions, and she treasured her many friends in the square dancing community. Anne will be remembered as a loving wife and mother, proud grandmother and generous friend.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME, 77 East Fifth Street, Chillicothe. The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm until the hour of service on Saturday.
