Obituary for: Elinor Irene Althouse Elinor Irene Althouse, 101, of Chillicothe, died 3:30 am, Saturday, December 26, 2009, in the Westmoreland Place Nursing Home. She was born October 26, 1908 in Clinton County, the daughter of the late Elijah F. and the late Altha A. Park Dorman. October 29, 1925, she married Frederick E. Althouse who died in 1957. Surviving are one daughter Elinor Althouse Magill, three sons Terry (Judith Ann) and Jerry (Sue), all of Chillicothe, and Larry (Sandy) of Frankfort, 14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. A twin son and daughter, one son Richard F. Althouse, a sister Iva M. Bersebach, a grandson Ronald R. Magill and a granddaughter Rita Althouse preceded her in death. Mrs. Althouse was a Fountain Manager at S.S. Kresge's for 25 years and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Graveside Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 29, 2009 in Greenlawn Cemetery with Pastor Glenn Anderson officiating. Calling Hours will not be observed. The Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home is serving the family.
