Eleanor L. Cade

Eleanor Lucille Cade, 88, of Chillicothe, passed from this life Thursday evening, Jan. 15, 2009 in Heartland of Chillicothe following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Case officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday. She was born Dec. 31, 1920 in Chillicothe, the daughter of Robert William and Lena Catherine (Smallwood) Collins. Her first husband, Earl Rinehart preceded her in death in 1945. On June 9, 1948 she married Marcus S. Cade who preceded her in death May 31, 2002. Surviving are sons, Marcus C. and wife, Nancy Cade, Columbus, Daniel L. and wife, Vickie Cade, Gahanna and Ronald B. Cade, Chillicothe, a son-in-law, Thomas Martin, Chillicothe, grandchildren, Catherine L. and husband, Tim Ritchie, Thomas C. and wife, Lisa Martin, Rachel M. and husband, Brian Peterman, Brian and wife, Caitlyn Cade, Isaac Cade, Adam Frump and Michelle and husband, Scott Evans, 7 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild, a half-sister, Donann Winebrenner, London, OH, a sister-in-law, Evelyn Self, Bellbrook, OH, a half-brother, Robert W. Collins, II, Killeen, TX and several nieces and nephews. Her parents, step-mother, Lucy Collins, daughter, Sharon Martin and sisters, Evelyn Handley, Annabel Wills and Dorothy Underwood preceded her in death. Mrs. Cade had attended Chillicothe High School and the First United Methodist Church. She will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother.
