Eldon Wellington Boner

Eldon Wellington Boner, 88, of Spartanburg, SC, formerly of the Chillicothe area, passed from this life on Saturday, November 24, 2012 in Banner Elk, NC. He was born October 4, 1924, the son of the late Wellington and Florence (Weinrich) Boner. His wife, Maryruth (Weinrich) Boner preceded him in death in 2006.
A very kind, caring and consciencious man, Eldon leaves to cherish his memory a daughter, Anna (Brian) Baker, Sarasota, FL; brothers, Ronald Lee (Eileen) Boner, Uniontown, OH and Allen (Barbara) Boner, Fredrick, OH; nephew, Gordon Lesley (Dottie) Boner, Hartville, OH; niece, Debra (Tom) Payne, Fort Mill, SC; cousin, Jennie Mae (Gary) Marquesen, Lancaster, OH; close friends, Judith Ann (Barney) Allen, Moore, SC and Sabrina (Jim) Spry, Inman, SC; and his companion, Joan Ross-McGuire. A son, Paul Weinrich Boner and a brother, Lowell Boner preceded him in death.
Eldon was an Industrial Engineer for Cooper Industries. He was an excellent furniture maker and enjoyed square dancing and fly fishing.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 in the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home, Newland, NC with Rev. Lander Heafner officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until the hour of service on Wednesday.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 30, 2012 in Londonderry Cemetery with Rev. Bruce Viar officiating. Calling hours will not be observed.
