Dorothy Dudley Speakman, 92, of Chillicothe, passed from this life on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at her residence. She was born February 14, 1922 in Camp Sherman, Chillicothe, Ohio, the daughter of Raymond G. and Ottie (Mullen) Dudley. On August 21, 1948 she married Paul E. Speakman who preceded her in death in 1993.
Surviving are her daughters, Melinda Sue Stephens and Jennifer Elaine Speakman, both of Chillicothe; grandsons, Timothy (Christina) Stephens and Christopher Stephens; great-grandchildren, Jack, Cheyanne and Jeffery; and a nephew, Michael (Karen) Gregg. Her parents, a sister, Betty May Gregg and a brother, David Dudley preceded her in death.
Mrs. Speakman was a former employee of National Fireworks and Fisher’s Dairy Store. She was a member of the Semper Fidelis Club and the Ross County Senior Citizens.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, June 13, 2014 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Chaplin Bruce Hines officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until the hour of service on Friday.
