Dorothy I. Johnson

Dorothy I. Johnson, 87, of Columbus, formerly of Chillicothe, passed from this life, Saturday evening, January 8, 2011, at her residence, surrounded by her family. She was born on September 15, 1923, in Chillicothe, to the late Harold and Myrl (Blue) Wolford. On May 16, 1942, she married Milton Johnson, who preceded her in death on December 12, 2000. Surviving is a son; Larry (Jackie) Johnson, Columbus, a daughter; Sharon (Chuck) Rusk, Chillicothe, grandchildren; Amy (Ken) Carslile, Jason (Michele) Johnson, Missy (Bryan) Sima, Kim (Jon) Palmer, and Nick (Kristin) Rusk, great-grandchildren; Ryan, Kelli, Lexi, Gavin, Calia, Madelynn, Gabby, and Rebecca, and a sister; Thelma (Bob) Rusk. She was preceded in death by a sister, Margie Bethel. Dorothy will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2011, in Greenlawn Cemetery, with Reverend Scott Smith, officiating. The family will receive friends at the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
