Dorothy A. (Fout) Murphy

Dorothy Ann Fout Murphy, 95, of Chillicothe, passed from this life on Saturday, March 9, 2013 in Traditions of Chillicothe. She was born February 23, 1918 in Chillicothe, the daughter of Gus and Rosa Mae Riley. On October 4, 1936 she married Jesse R. Fout who preceded her in death in 1991. She later married Russell Murphy who preceded her in death in 2001.
Surviving are her children, Ronald (Bev) Fout, Donald (Marsha) Fout, Sherry Dearth, John (Linda) Fout and Jess (Sharon) Fout, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Greg Fout, Brenda Doles, Donna Williams, Todd Fout, Timothy Dearth, Stephen Dearth, Christina Morris, Johnny Fout and Eric Fout; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Louretta (Fuzz) Houser, Chillicothe and a host of nieces and nephews. Her parents, sisters, Katie Massie and Betty Jane Recobs, a brother, Charles Riley and a son-in-law, Roger Dearth preceded her in death.
Mrs. Murphy attended Huntington High School and was a retired employee of the U.S. Shoe Corporation. She was a member of the Hilltop Mission Church and had been active in many church activities.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, March 14, 2013 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Jack Fout officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hilltop Mission Church or to a charity of choice.
