Dorothy L. Brown, 85, of Chillicothe, passed from this life, 11:54 am, Sunday, January 27, 2008 in the Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. She was born October 5, 1922, in Jackson County, the daughter of the Lando and the Mille Bowen Canter. On September 17, 1948 she married Roy M. Brown, who preceded her in death May 4, 1986. Surviving are a son Jack D. Brown of Chillicothe, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. One son Jerry Brown, her parents, husband, two sisters, Rena May and Orpha Miller and one brother Virgil Canter preceded her in death. Mrs. Brown worked in the sorting room of Mead Corp. until 1957, when she focused all her energies into being a wonderful homemaker. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am, Thursday January 31, 2008 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass & Palmer Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Melton officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Coalton. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 7 PM, Wednesday.
