Doris Ann Vogel

Doris Ann Vogel, 82, of Laurelville, passed from this life on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at her residence following an extended illness.  She was born April 30, 1940 in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of Charles J. and Lavelle (Dillon) Davis.  On January 14, 1961 she married Philip L. Vogel who preceded her in death on September 1, 2022.

Surviving are her sons, Phillip Scott Vogel, Laurelville, James Stephen (Candy) Vogel, Circleville and Robert Joseph (Robin) Vogel, Londonderry; her grandchildren, Brandon Vogel, Trevor Vogel, Sara Vogel, Braia Vogel, Biff Bumgarner, Jr. and Tyler Vogel; her former daughter-in-law, Carol Tackett, Columbus; her sister, Janet (Sandy) Golenburg, Athens; and her brothers, Charles Davis, Kingston and Michael Davis, New York.  She was preceded in death by her mother and father, step-mothers, Betty Cornwall Davis and Esther Davis and her husband.

Mrs. Vogel was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Circleville.  She was a retired employee of Bob Evans, and will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

The family wishes to especially thank Dr. Seidensticker, Adena Hospice and the Home Health aides at National Church Residences.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, December 9, 2022 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Father Ted Machnik officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Margaret’s Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 pm until the hour of service on Friday.
