Doris A. Jett

Doris A. Jett, 87, of Chillicothe, died in the Hospice of Hamilton Facility, 11:07 PM, Friday September 4, 2009 following a brief illness. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, September 10, 2009, in the Fawcett Palmer Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Mills officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from Noon until the hour of service. She was born December 31, 1921 in Huntington, WV the daughter of Horace and Naomi Bryan Evans. On February 14, 1948 she married Charles C. Jett, who preceded her in death July 15, 2006. Surviving are a daughter Lois (James) Bailey, Trenton; two sons Lowell (Meg) Jett of Watkinsville, GA and Larry (Debbie) Jett, Waverly, seven grandchildren, Stacy, Andrea, Holly, Justin, Angela, Amber, and Lisa; 4 great grandchildren, Cecil, Lincon, Barrett, and Lila.; two sisters-in-law Annie Evans and Easter Evans, both of Chillicothe. 4 Brothers Don, Dalton, Damon and Denzil Evans and 4 sisters Margaret Branch, Pauline Chatterton, Lucy Meadows, and Lorena Meadows preceded her in death.
