Donald D. Workman, 80, of Chillicothe unexpectedly passed from this life on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at his residence. He was born February 9, 1935 in Stockdale, Ohio, the son of James L. and Cordelia (Colegrove) Workman. He was married to Judith (Fultz) Workman who preceded him in death.
Surviving are sons, Donavan Workman and Russell Workman, both of Chillicothe; nieces, Cathy (Randy) Rice, Westerville, Tonia (Tom) Derring, Columbus, Pamela Whiteside, Columbus, Tina Workman-Apperson (Darren), Commerce, GA; nephews, Mark (Heidi) Whiteside, Columbus and Russell (Samantha) Workman, Rocky Top, TN;
sister-in-law, Mary Workman, Rocky Top, TN and a host of other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife; a son, James K. Workman; sisters, Lillian Hall and Margaret Whiteside; brothers, Robert, Larry, James and Charles Workman; half-brother, Floyd Workman; a niece, Donna Shrader and nephews, Donald and Terry Whiteside and James Hall.
Mr. Workman was a retired carpenter. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was a member of American Legion Post 757.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 7, 2015 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Bruce Viar officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens with military honors by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until the hour of service on Saturday.
