Dolly M. Greathouse Salley, 94, of Macon, GA, formerly of Chillicothe, went to be with her Lord and Savior early Sunday morning, Apr. 8, 2007 following an extended illness. She was born Feb. 27, 1913 in Greenup, KY, the daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Bolden) Greathouse. On Dec. 31, 1931 she married Rev. Morris E. Salley, a Church of Christ in Christian Union pastor, who preceded her in death Nov. 7, 1994. Rev. and Mrs. Salley lived in Chillicothe and Tampa, FL before moving to Macon, GA. Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and John Montgomery, Macon, GA with whom she lived, Jean and Alvin DePugh, Chillicothe, sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Marilyn Salley, Danville, KY and Jerry and Emma Salley, Hendersonville, TN, 12 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren, a sister, Mildred Graves, Chillicothe and brothers, Henry Greathouse, Springfield, OH and Orlie P. Greathouse, Chillicothe. Her parents, a son, Ronald, a great-grandchild, a sister and 2 brothers preceded her in death. Mrs. Salley was a member of the Church of Christ in Christian Union for 60 years and was an honorary member of Trinity Church of the Nazarene in Macon, where she had many wonderful friends. She will be remembered for her love for the Lord, her family and for her beautiful embroidery work and quilts she made for her family and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, Apr. 11, 2007 in the Trinity Church of the Nazarene, Macon, GA. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, Apr. 14, 2007 in Floral Hills Memory Gardens with Rev. James King officiating. The family will receive friends at the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday.
