Della Christine Johnson, 86, of Chillicothe, formerly of Erie, PA passed from this life on Friday, November 13, 2015 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born June 23, 1929 in Kragon, KY, the daughter of Ernie and Myrtle (Clair) Patrick. She was married to John Johnson who preceded her in death in 1965.
Surviving are daughters, Mary Ann (Harry) Ford, Louisville, KY, Faye Wickline, Chillicothe, Brenda Johnson, Alamagordo, NM and Willia Angelotti, Union City, PA; sons, Willie (Janet) Johnson, Jackson, KY, Larry (Laurie) Johnson, Mill Village, PA, Willis (Colleen) Johnson, Erie, PA and Don Johnson, Chillicothe; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a sister, Gearlean Howard, Claypool, IN; brothers, Ray (Judy) Patrick and Dale (Angie) Patrick, all of Jackson, KY and her beloved canine companion, Murphy. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons, Richard and Johnny Johnson, 3 sisters and 5 brothers.
Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and was a devoted mother and grandmother. She attended Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ in Christian Union.
A Celebration of Her Life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 21, 2015 in the Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ in Christian Union with Pastor Mark Clendaniel officiating. Burial will be in Turner Cemetery, Jackson, KY at the discretion of the family. Calling hours will not be observed.
