Delbert W. Kinnamon, 86, of Frankfort, passed from this Monday afternoon, Jan. 10, 2011 in Westmoreland Place following an extended illness. He was born July 20, 1924 in Ross County, the son of Ella Mae Kinnamon. On Sept. 27, 1941 he married Mildred A. Yoakum who survives. Also surviving are sons, Roger and wife, Daisy Kinnamon, Frankfort and Michael and wife, Vicki Kinnamon, Chillicothe, daughters-in-law, Ronda Kinnamon and Kit Kinnamon, both of Chillicothe, grandchildren, Lora Raines, David, Jason, Amanda, Brandon, Matthew, Casey and Courtney Kinnamon, Holly Kinnamon, great-grandchildren, Sarah Littler, Betsy Raines, Audrey and Austin Kinnamon, Henry Graham and Ella Stevens and great great-grandchildren, Kyla Littler and Drake Littler. His mother, sons Robert and Jack Kinnamon and a grandson, John Kinnamon preceded him in death. Mr. Kinnamon was a machinist and toolmaker for Wear-Ever with 38 years of service, retiring as maintenance foreman. He was the longest serving maintenance supervisor in the Chillicothe operation. Following his retirement from Wear-Ever, he devoted his life to maintaining his family's farm. A U.S. Army veteran, he served in WW II and was a Technical Sergeant in charge of the motor pool at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. He was a Life Member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of Eagles Aerie 600. He loved to play euchre and had a keen sense of humor. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. James Grove officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Township Cemetery with military honors by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Saturday.
