David F. Ramsey, 93, of Chillicothe, passed from this life 5:25 am, Saturday, May 23, 2015 in the Heartland of Chillicothe Nursing Facility following an extended illness.
He was born January 17, 1922, in Chillicothe, the son of Oren Alvin and Blanch Schofield Ramsey. November 30, 1944 he married Ella Louise Cox who preceded him in death September 10, 1998.
Surviving are a daughter Cheryl L. Ramsey, Chillicothe, a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis M. and Deborah L. Ramsey, Richmond Dale, 3 grandchildren, Brian (Anissa) Ramsey, Chillicothe, Mark (Cheryl) Ramsey, Oak Hill, and Angela (Jason) Tucker, Chillicothe; 8 great grandchildren, Lindsay Ramsey, Mark Ramsey, Jr, Luke Ramsey, Jarrett Ramsey, Christian Ramsey, Dakota Tucker, Kaylee Ramsey, and Hannah Tucker; a brother Paul Ramsey, Chillicothe, a daughter-in-law Vickey Ramsey, Chillicothe, and numerous nieces and nephews. A son Gary Deane Ramsey, 6 sisters Mildred McKee, Martina Ramsey, Dorothy Stout, Ora Drummond, Alice Ramsey, and Esther Conaway, 1 brother Oren Ramsey preceded him in death.
Mr. Ramsey retired December 1986 from Mead. He was a WWII Veteran of the US Army Air Corp, and a life-long member of the First United Methodist Church where he had served on the board of trustees and was an usher.
Funeral Services will be conducted simultaneously with his son’s services in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS & PALMER FUNERAL HOME, 1:00 PM, Tuesday May 26, 2015 with Pastors Larry Ault and Lesley Allen officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery with Military Honors by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM Monday.
