David Allen Park

David Allen Park, 72, of Chillicothe unexpectedly passed from this life on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at his residence.  He was born September 26, 1944 in Chillicothe, the son of the late Eldon and Kathleen “Katy” (Young) Park.  On December 22, 1978 he married Georgia J. “Janie” Hawkins who survives.

Also surviving are daughters, Rhonda (Billy) Kline, Beverly Park and Cricket (Steve) Grant, all of Chillicothe; son, D.J. Park, Chillicothe; 9 grandchildren, including Katy, Bobbie and Heath; 9 great-grandchildren, including Tupoc, Walkie, Weezer, Pinky and soon to be L.G.; sister, Becky (Glenn) Steinbrook, Chillicothe; brother, Ike (Diane) Park, Chillicothe; a host of nieces and nephews; special neighbors and friends, Gary and Karen Hoffman and his canine companions, Heather and Heidi.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Chonda Park.

Dave was a self-employed “handyman” who could fix most anything.  He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.  He had a big heart and was always willing to help anyone in need.  He will be missed.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, July 21, 2017 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Dan Bennett officiating.  Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday.
