Danny L. Tackett, Sr.

Danny L. Tackett, Sr, 69 of Chillicothe, died suddenly, 5:47 PM, Sunday, March 16, 2008 in the Adena Regional Medical Center. He was born, November 4, 1938, in Ross County to Ashford Lee and Loretta Jewel Smith Tackett. On July 4, 1999 he married the former Martha Bland who survives. On May 20, 1996, he was preceded in death by his first wife Stella Anise Wine Tackett. Surviving are two daughters, Debra Lee Allison, Frankfort and Tammy Lynn (Michael) O'Dell, Waverly; three sons Danny Lee (Cheryl) Tackett, Chillicothe, John Charles (Lisa) Tackett Ely, Frankfort, and Eric Daniel (Cheryl) Tackett, Chillicothe; one step son, Chuckie L. (Rhonda) Good, Jr.; 16 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren; six sisters, Eleanor (Irvin) Himelrick, Chillicothe, Mary (Herb) Seymour, FL, Sharon (Bob) Kellough, Chillicothe, Joyce (Frank) Dillow, Lucasville, Rosetta Betts, Chillicothe, and Judy (Keith) Kellough, Fl; two brothers, William (Linda) Tackett, WI and Clifford Betts, FL; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, including a very close cousin, Robert Tackett. Six brothers, and one great grandchild preceded him in death. Mr. Tackett was a self-employed painter for 23 years. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, The Eagles, and AMVETS. He was also a US Army Veteran, serving during the Viet Nam Era. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM, March 20, 2008,in the Fawcett Oliver Glass & Palmer Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens with Military honors by the Ross County Veteran's Honor Guard. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 PM Wednesday where Loyal Order of the Moose shall hold a memorial service at 7:30 PM
